Once again...

...the management has fallen way behind. I have to take you as far back as Easter in California... We drove from Portland all the way down to California. A half hour into the drive, I asked my mom if we were almost there. It was a LONG drive. But we made it in time for Easter Sunday!

Once again, I was able to huuuuuuug the Easter Bunny. And let me tell you, this one really needed my love. He was a dud of a bunny...not giving off happy vibes AT ALL. Just look at him! Wake up, man. He must have been sulking because I've missed a couple of Easters in California. Fortunately, his helper more than made up for the grumpy boss.

And then guess where we went. The Monterey Bay Aquarium!! In our hotel room, Dylan and I got to have a sleep over in the same bed!!! It was MAYHEM! And see that stuffed otter? Dyl threw him out the hotel window just to spite me. I don't quite remember, but I'm sure I hit him for being so lame. The next morning, Daddy turned Dylie and me on to room service. Food in your BEDROOM!! That's crazy!

Before we returned to Portland, we spent a night in San Francisco. It was super cool. The first thing we did after checking into our hotel room was get in a long line for a cable car ride. My mom and dad were really excited to show Dyl and me the cable car, but they quickly realized that there was no way we would all come out alive if we waited in line. Long lines are not our strong suit. So my mom put on her best pretend-excited smile and asked us if we would rather ride in a taxi... YEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!! TAXI = HIGHLIGHT OF TRIP

First I had to help the family hail (!!!!!!) a taxi. I flailed my limbs everywhere trying to get one to pull over. Then I cooled off a bit and used just one arm and a bit of jumping (I couldn't help it). I finally got one to pull over and things only got better from there. Did you know that there are no booster seats in a taxi?! It's like the final frontier in there! The streets go up and down and uuuuuuuuuuppp and dooooooooown in San Francisco. No seat belts is definitely the way to go. We took that ride all the way to Chinatown and and had dinner at the House of Nanking. Then we walked to North Beach and had some dessert. Of course I left my heart in San Francisco. Actually, I think I left it in the taxi cab.
